Sareeta Amrute

Sareeta Amrute is Principal Researcher at the Data & Society Research Institute and Affiliate Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Washington, Seattle. Her first book, 'Encoding Race Encoding Class: Indian IT Workers in Berlin', is an ethnographic study of race and class in the global corporate coding industry. She is currently working on a second project that investigates the diasporic conditions for democratic participation. Sareeta was a fellow at the Russell Sage Foundation during 2021-22.
