Shobhit has a background in law. His interests lie in studying the political economy of digitalisation, and its implications on socio-economic structures and processes . As a researcher, his work focuses on data governance, algorithmic accountability and labour in the digital economy. He provides policy inputs in national, regional and multilateral consultations and engages in advocacy with regional and global partners, with a view to advance progressive visions of digital development. He has previously worked as an advisor and a policy analyst in a law firm, focussing on regulatory frameworks on digital finance and data protection.
