Charles is a trans-disciplinary researcher and advocate for responsible tech and digital rights. Charles is the co-founder of PolicyLab Africa which focuses on supporting breakthrough research and policy at the nexus of technology, design, and AI, and leads high-impact change projects in Africa. Previously, Charles worked with Paradigm Initiative, Amazon UK, CELT UK, and the Centre for Technology Entrepreneurship in Italy. He also worked with M4ID (SCOPE) based in Helsinki. In the past, he consulted for ITU (Geneva), Hilti (Liechtenstein), and USAID/International Rescue Committee. Charles has a PhD in Information & Communication Technology and sits on the Academic Advisory Board at Barcelona Technology School.
