Knowledge Futures

Knowledge Futures interrogates what it means to govern Artificial Intelligence for the cultural commons beyond intellectual property. It asks how AI systems are reshaping the production and circulation of knowledge and culture. What are the implications of AI extraction on our cultural commons? How does it reshape creative labor? And it seek to chart the path to epistemic justice. How do we build alternative knowledge futures grounded in public interest and collective rights? This collection of think pieces is a product of the research developed under the AI, Culture and Intellectual Property Subgroup of the UNESCO Global Civil Society Organizations (CSO) and Academic Network on AI Ethics and Policy.
