Kenzo Soares Seto
Kenzo Soares Seto is a Ph.D. candidate at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and is currently an international visiting Ph.D. student at the Lisbon School of Economics (ISEG) with a grant from Brazil's National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPQ). His current research focuses on the socio-technical imaginaries of Brazilian tech workers, such as developers and data scientists, especially their perceptions of the broader societal impacts of the technologies they help to develop. Kenzo is a former adjunct professor of Media Studies at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and recently published his book "The Algorithm and the Capital: an introduction to the political economy of digital media" in Portuguese.
