Sadaf is a researcher at the University of Kashmir, where her work examines the social construction of health in cinema, with particular attention to how health, gender, and power are represented in visual culture. She was previously a National Gender Fellow with IT for Change, where she produced a comprehensive report on the digitization of the work of ASHA workers in Kashmir, focusing on the intersections of gender, digital labor, and frontline healthcare. She has also worked as a Consultant Associate-Implementation Programme with ActionAid Association in Kashmir. Alongside her academic work, she writes as a freelance journalist.
