Tea Jarc

Tea Jarc is a determined trade unionist and a strong voice for workers’ rights, social justice, and dignity at work. As Confederal Secretary of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), she brings the energy of grassroots struggles into European decision-making—ensuring that policies are shaped with workers. She leads strategic work on collective bargaining, wage coordination, quality jobs, platform work, and tackling precarious employment. Her responsibilities cover key areas shaping Europe’s future: employment policies and the European Pillar of Social Rights, youth policies, EU enlargement, and regional and social cohesion. She advocates for ambitious, progressive reforms of EU economic and social governance. She leads ETUC’s work on Trade Union Renewal, contributing to strengthening trade union power and supporting unions in adapting to the changing world of work. Before her election in 2023, Tea was President of a trade union in Slovenia, where she organised precarious and platform workers and contributed to establishing a trade union of delivery riders. From 2019 to 2022, she also served as President of the ETUC Youth Committee. Tea Jarc stands for a Europe where solidarity is a force—where workers are organised, protected, and able to shape their own future.
